Sail Chicago Skippercard
To be qualified to rent Sail Chicago boats a sailor must have earned a Skippercard in the class of boat they wish to rent. Rhodes 19 Skippercard certification requires the following:

Completion of Dryland. |

Passing the On-the-Water Checkout.
This exam tests your ability to skipper the Rhodes 19 sailboat and command a crew. One checkout is included with the Intermediate Sailing Skills Class. If needed, additional checkouts are available for $15.00 each. Students who have taken Basic and Intermediate Sailing, but have not checked out yet, can also take the Checkout Preparation Course. Passing a Water Safety/Swim Test
This test verifies your confidence in the water. It can be taken independently with the supervision of any certified lifeguard or completed with the Sail Chicago group at the UIC Campus Circle Center, 750 S. Halsted St. (dates and times to be determined).
